CHRISTIAN SANCTIFICATION

Sanctification – to set apart for sacred use, to make holy, to make productive use of holiness.

STAY IN SUBMISSION

(Jeremiah 18:3-4)

Romans 12:1-2 In order for the Christian to have the approval of our Lord we must give our total body, spirit and soul to Him in order to be able to resist “the old man”  and submit to “the new man”.

Romans 8:36 The scripture indicates that once we are “bought with a price” we become His and not our own to do with us as He sees fit.

James 4:5-7 What a blessing and peace we can have when we realize that God's grace is sufficient for everything, and when we submit to Him He promises to help us in our fight with the devil.

STAY SEPARATED

(Proverbs 24:1)

I John 1:6-7 Many scriptures tell us that we are to be separate from the world. We cannot think that we can influence the world by fellowship with the world, see (I Cor. 15:33).

I Corinthians 6:19-20 Our bodies and our life are to glorify God. We cannot glorify Him while trying to satisfy our own wants and desires.

II Corinthians 17-18 We have the promise of God our Father that He will continue to fellowship with us and treat us as His children when we stay separated from worldliness.

STAY IN HIS WORD

(Psalm 119:11)

Hebrews 4:12 Nothing on earth is more powerful or more soothing to the soul than the living Word of God. It will give peace and counsel and will let us know what really is the true motive in our heart.

Psalm 1:1-2 Once again we see the Lord directing His children away from the wisdom and counsel of the world and blessing those that will trust in His wonderful, pure and holy Word.

James 4:5-8 God promises us that because of the spiritual war that we must fight daily, If we will submit to Him and resist the devil He will be by our side and make the devil flee.

STAY IN HIS HOUSE

(Hebrews 10:25)

I Corinthians 16:2 Christians gather on the first day of the week to take their missionary offering.

Acts 20:7 The early Christians give us the example of meeting on the first day of the week for communion and for the preaching of God's Word.

Luke 12:19-21 Jesus gives us the example of someone who has not put God first in worship and thanksgiving and calls that person a fool for ignoring the important spiritual things of this life.

SERVE FOR HIS GLORY

(Romans 15:5-6)

I Timothy 2:8-10 We are to take our daily lives and worship and glorify God as His children.

Titus 2:1-8 God wants our behavior to be seen as holy, separated lives from the world.
