(II Thessalonians 2:1-8)

   Beast– (Dan. 7:7, 19, 23; Rev. 13:1, 12; 17:8, 11, 12) – Little Horn- Dan. (7:8, 11, 20) – King- (Dan. 7:24; 8:23; 11:36) – Man of Sin- (II Thess. 2:3) – Prince- (Ezek. 21:25; Dan. 9:26) – Son of Perdition- (II Thess. 2:3) – That Wicked- (II Thess. 2:8)

Revelation 13:1 (Important note)- Revelation, Daniel, and Ezekiel are written in symbolic language and in order to interpret we must compare scripture. The “Beast” here represents a government (10 Horns, 10 Kings)- see Dan. 2:17; Rev. 17:12; Dan. 2:41-43; 7:2-7. This government “Beast” will be formed by the revival of the old Roman Empire that will be headed by one man (Beast), the Anti-Christ. The “sea” in the scriptures represent the masses of humanity.

Revelation 13:2 Notice that John saw a beast here that had different characteristics within itself. Look at Dan. 2:31-32, 36-41; Dan. 7:2-7 and notice the image and then the four great beasts that he saw. The four beasts represent governments or kingdoms that would come to rule the known world beginning with Nebuchadnezzar. (1)The lion is Babylon, (2)  The bear is The Medes and the Persians conquered Babylon around 559 B.C. (3) The leopard is the Greek Empire of Alexander The Great around 325 B.C. (4) Dreadful, terrible 10 horns The Roman Empire approx. 44 B.C.-1453 A.D.

The ten horns are the same in Dan. 7:7, Rev.13:1, and Rev. 17:12.

Daniel 7:7; Revelation 13:2 Now that we know what the image of Dan.2 and the beasts of Dan. 7 and Rev. 13 represent, let's look closely at Rev. 13:2 and compare it with Dan. 7:3-7. If we look closely, we will see that the last beast mentioned in Dan. 7:7 and Rev. 13:2  is the combination of the first three beasts of Daniel 7:3-6. This can also be seen in the image that Daniel saw in Dan. 2:40-43.

Daniel 9:25-27 These scriptures give us the prophecy of the seventy weeks of Daniel. We don't have time to look at all of the m but we must look at verse 25 and 26. Notice that there are mentioned two that are called prince. One is Jesus (25) and the other is the anti-Christ. Also, verse 26 tells us where the anti-Christ will come from and what great power not only destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple but is the same great power that “shall come” during the Tribulation and make a “covenant” with Israel and break it “in the midst”.
