   Joshua 1:7-8 Most people have a desire to succeed in some area of life: business, relationships, education, athletics, politics, etc. God promises Joshua he could have success in the most important activity in life: serving God.

   The blessings that God promised to Joshua are available to everyone. We must meet certain conditions that require effort and sacrifice, however, we are all capable of meeting these conditions.




   II Timothy 3:15-17 The Scriptures are inspired by God and are able and profitable for everyone to know the truth about salvation and about true wisdom needed in order to be successful.

   I Corinthians 2:4-5 Paul's preaching and teaching is in demonstration of the Holy Spirit's power so we can have faith and confidence in the power God's word.

   Romans 1:16 We can be assured that the gospel message is the true power of God that changes lives in the hearts of people that honestly seek after God's truth.




   I Corinthians 10:13 The promise from God is that He will always give us an escape from any and all temptations that try to bring us down. He is faithful in giving us a choice before we get into trouble.

   Ephesians 6:10-18 Each Christian eventually must meet the challenges of our greatest adversary the devil. God gives us the tools to fight the good fight of faith if we will but take heed and use His armor.

   James 4:7 Can it be so simple as resisting Satan? God said that we must submit to Him first.




   II Corinthians 1:3-10 Often times we encounter hardship, grief, sickness, etc. that tempt us to quit serving God. Paul suffered beyond his power to bare it but his suffering wasn't above God's power.

   Romans 8:31-39 No suffering or hardship of any kind can separate us from God's love. God has already made us more than conquerors because we are on the right side.

   Philippians 4:11-13 Nowhere does God ever say He will remove all our problems. He promises that through His power and grace we will be able to endure, to remain faithful and receive eternal life.




   II Corinthians 9:8-10 God has promised to supply all our needs in order that we can abound in every good work that we endeavor to do for His glory.

   John 15:4-8 Jesus is like the vine that supplies the needs for the branches. Acting by our own power we would fail every time because without Him we can do nothing.




   I Corinthians 1:18 There is much power in the preaching of the cross and the blood of Jesus Christ.

   I John 4:9-11 There is power in the love of God that compels us to love and serve Him in return.

   Ephesians 6:13-17 There is power in the Scriptures for strength, comfort, wisdom and direction.

   James 5:16 There is much power in the effectual fervent prayers of God's people.
