TESTING

Hebrews 11:1 The scripture makes it clear, faith has three main characteristics: (1) substance, (2) hope, and (3) evidence. The word hope means to trust in or to rely on that which is hoped for.

Hebrews 11:6 The scripture further tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God.

II Corinthians 5:7 The Apostle Paul teaches us that as Christians we are to walk by faith and not by sight. The over-all meaning of this is that our everyday decisions and actions are to be based on our confidence and trust in the promises of God's word, not on what we experience in the natural world.

Romans 12:3 It is obvious through the bible that God has given everyone a measure of faith.

SAVING

Romans 5:1 According to this promise, by faith in Christ we are found to be guiltless, or without blame because of what Jesus has accomplished through His death, burial and resurrection.

John 3:15-17 By believing in Jesus Christ we can be saved and become at peace with God.

John 1:10-12 When we understand about Christ and who He is and make the decision to receive Him as our Lord and Savior we become Christians and thus become His sons and his daughters.

Romans 10:9 Our personal salvation is dependent on our direct communication with Christ through receiving Him and asking for forgiveness, repenting of our sin and receiving Him as Savior.

I Corinthians 15:1-4 Paul outlines what the Gospel of Christ is and exactly what we must believe and receive in order to be saved.

I John 5:10-13 The Apostle John summarizes to us what believing and receiving Jesus Christ means to all of us. He says that God's record of His Son is true and that we can know that we are saved.

WALKING

Philippians 1:27-28 The average Christian today does not realize or recognize the many adversaries

that we face each and every day in the world. If we are to walk by faith we must discern good and evil.

Acts 13:6-10 Any one and anything that opposes God or is contrary to God's word is an adversary.

I Thessalonians 4:9-12 Here we see Paul teaching us how we are to walk by faith in our daily lives. We are to exercise our faith by our love for each other, by our working with our hands to make a living without seeking help from the world, and show a perfect honesty in our lives that will be a witness to the lost world around us.

James 2:14-18 James tells us over and over again that real faith is action. James proves and validates what Hebrews 11:1 says about faith, that is he tells us that real faith has substance and evidence.

Hebrews 13:5-6 If we are truly walking by faith and not by sight we will have a life style that is un-selfish, not greedy of others possessions, realizing that God is with us and on our side. Our life will not be filled with worrying about what is happening to our society, what is happening to the economy or what this or that nation is doing to destroy us. We will be content or satisfied with what God has given us and will have complete trust in Philippians 4:19.
