   (Provision) - foresight, something provided, prepared, or supplied to accomplish a future thing.

   Matthew 6:26-29 God has created the world in such a way as to take care of His creatures.

   Matthew 6:30-33 God has also promised His care to those who will put Him first in this life.

   Psalms 104:14 God causes the grass to grow for the cattle and the herbs for mankind.

   Psalms 135:5-7 He created and thus controls the environment of the earth and heaven.

   Psalms 104:21-29 The animal kingdom waits for God to provide life and death to them all.

   Job 12:23 God provides wealth and success or pride and failure for nations and peoples.

   Daniel 2:21 It is God that provides the change in our seasons and also makes provision for those who know Him to attain His wisdom and knowledge.




   Psalms 37:23 God will provide guidance and direction to those who seek to follow Him.

   Matthew 6:33 Those who put God first may be providentially blessed with material goods.

   Romans 8:28 This great verse talks about Godís providence in our lives. However, it does not indicate that His providence will always be a pleasant experience.

   Romans 5:3-5; James 1:2-4 God may allow trying times to come into our lives in order to bring us to a fuller understanding of His will and to help mature us spiritually in Christ.




   Ecclesiastes 9:11-12 Something Christians do not often think about is the possibility of chance or circumstances rather than providence controlling situations or events  in our every day lives. We must not always assume that God has done evil or good to bring about the situation.

   I Peter 5:8-9 We must all understand that some things could be happening in our lives because of the influence of Satan or his demons: (Remember Job?)

   Romans 8;35-39 As Christians we must also remember that God does have provision for us when we fall into trials, trouble, or temptation that might be happening to separate our fellowship with our blessed Lord.




   Matthew 6:9-11 Although God promises to provide for those who love and obey, we must pray and ask for His blessings and provision.

   II Thessalonians 3:10 God has provided us with the ability and the instruction to not only pray but also to work for what we may receive. We are warned not to be sluggards or lazy.

   Philippians 2:12-13 While God provides the way and the tools, He expects us to keep busy for Him while we are able.

   I Peter 3:10-12 In order for us to expect Godís provision for a good life and good days He expects us to walk and act like the Christians He will be proud of.
