There are not too many things in this life that are a 100% guarantee. Maybe taxes and death, and death really isn’t a sure thing when we throw in the possibility of the rapture happening at any moment. The bible gives us some things that are absolutely sure to happen and when we think on those things our life can be a little brighter and a lot more tolerable.

I John 2:25 The promise of eternal life is interwoven throughout the bible for all believers to rest on.

Psalms 30:5 The wonderful promise of going from the valley to the mountain top when we see Him.

John 14:1-2 We have the assurance of a better home with the company of those who love God.

Hebrews 13:5 We have His promise that we are never alone because He will always be with us.

Revelation 21:4 We take comfort in knowing that a time is coming for us when we will live without pain, suffering or sorrow.

Isaiah 28:16 Both the Old and New Testament give us assurance that we stand upon a rock that cannot be moved.

Ephesians 2:20 Paul gives us the truth that we are with a great company of believers resting on the “chief cornerstone”, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Matthew 7:24-25 Jesus gave a great illustration for those of us who have put our trust in the “Rock”.

Matthew 10:42 Jesus makes it very clear that He cares for the needy and will reward good deeds.

Luke 18:12-17  Jesus says there will be big rewards for the obedient servant within His kingdom.

Matthew 5:11-12 Those that will suffer persecution and suffering for Christ will have great rewards.

Romans 8:38-39 We have the assurance of a divine love from God that will never be taken from us.

Ephesians 2:4-5 The bible clearly tells us that God loves us now and loved us when we were lost.

I John 3:1 God’s love is not only past tense but present tense also in that this verse says His love is bestowed ( to apply, to devote) upon us and that He knows us as His own children.

I John 4:16 John testifies that he has known God’s love and tells us that God is the personification (Jesus Christ) of love.

II Corinthians 5:1-4 We are certain that when we leave this earthly body we will be given a new and better body : see I Corinthians 15:42, 44, 51-54.

Hebrews 11:8-10 There is a place that Abraham was looking for that will be our eternal home.

Matthew 6:20 There is a safe place where we have been investing in things that do not lose value.

Luke 10:20 There is a registry book in heaven that is sure to have the names of those that are citizens of the “New City” that will be the eternal home of the bride of Christ.

Revelation 21:1-3 We can be sure that as His bride, we will be with Him in the city that He has been preparing for us (John 14:1-3) forever and ever.
