Dr. Ronnie Baity serves not only as Pastor of the Berean Baptist Church but also as WPIP's General Manager. The voice you hear for most of the top of the hour ID's is that of Pastor Baity. In the early years of Pastor Baity's preaching ministry, he worked in a local Christian radio station where he learned about radio and how to run a radio station. Little did he know that God had a plan for him to start WPIP as a local Church outreach ministry of the Berean Baptist Church in 1995. WPIP's Chief Station Operator is Pastor Baity's son, Jeff Baity. Before Jeff came on board as a full time Radio Staff member, he helped in his "off work weekend hours" to relieve his dad and other church Staff members who were covering the radio station when it first began. Jeff has been the station's Chief operator since January 1996 and also teaches the Adult Sunday School Class at Berean Baptist Church which can be heard LIVE every Sunday morning at 10:15 a.m. here on WPIP.
