DECLARING OUR DEPENDENCE

THE INSPIRED WORD OF GOD

   II Timothy 3:16 Paul the Apostle makes it clear, “All scripture is given by the inspiration of God.”

   Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 24:35  Old and New Testament writers proclaim God's word will last forever.

   II Peter 1:21 Peter tells us that “holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

JESUS CHRIST VIRGIN BIRTH

   Isaiah 7:14 The Old Testament prophesied that “a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and call his name Immanuel” which is to say (God with us).

   Matthew 1:18-25 Matthew writes under the inspiration of God and tells of the fulfillment of the prophecy regarding the birth of Jesus Christ.

THE DIETY OF JESUS CHRIST

   John 1:1 There cannot be any argument about who this scripture is talking about. See I John 5:7.

   John 20:31 This verse declares the relationship between God and His Son and proclaims to all the Jewish nation that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah) that they have been waiting for.

   I Timothy 3:16 This scripture boldly says that there is no denying, there is no argument against the fact that God was made man in the person of Jesus Christ.

THE SUBSTITUTIONERY DEATH OF JESUS CHRIST

   I Corinthians 15:3 One of the main events within the Gospel message of Paul was that ..”Jesus died for our sins according to the scriptures.”

   Hebrews 2:9 The writer here tells us that Jesus not only suffered death, but that He “tasted death for every man.”

   I John 2:1-2 John the Apostle tells us that Jesus “died for the sins of the whole world.”

THE BLOOD ATONEMENT OF JESUS CHRIST

   Matthew 25:28 Jesus institutes the Lord's Supper and the new covenant in His blood.

   Romans 5:7-8 Paul tells us not only did Jesus Christ die for us, but we are 'justified' by His blood.

   ACTS 20:28 Dr. Luke tells us that Jesus paid for the church “with His own blood.”

THE BODILY RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST

   Acts 4:33 The main theme of the Apostles preaching was that of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

   I Corinthians 15:3-6 Paul's emphasis on the Gospel was that of Christ's resurrection from the dead.

Paul pointed out the great number of people who had witnessed seeing Christ after His resurrection.

JESUS IS COMING AGAIN

   John 14:1-3 Jesus promised that He would return for His followers and God cannot lie.

   I Corinthians 15:51-53; I Thessalonians 4:13-18 The mystery and details of the rapture.
