"The Results of Salvation"
A
Lesson by

When we accept
Jesus Christ as our own personal
Saviour, things begin to change in
our heart and our life. There are
things that happen here on earth as
well as all around us. And there are
things that happen in Heaven as
well!
Let’s look at a
few of the results of our accepting
Jesus Christ as Saviour . . .
I :
There Is Joy In Heaven when You
Accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour
-
Luke 15:7 says, “I say
unto you, that likewise joy shall be
in heaven over one sinner that
repenteth, more than over ninety and
nine just persons, which need no
repentance.”
-
Luke 15:10 says,
“Likewise, I say unto you, there is
joy in the presence of the angels of
God over one sinner that repenteth.”
II : Why Is There Joy In
Heaven When We Get Saved??
A:
Because there is no other way to get
there!
-
John 3:3 says, “Jesus
answered and said unto him, Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, Except a
man be born again, he cannot see the
kingdom of God.”
B:
Because God planned it that way!
- John 3:16 – 18 says, “For God so
loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.”
17 “For God sent not his Son into
the world to condemn the world; but
that the world through him might be
saved.”
18 “He that believeth on him is not
condemned: but he that believeth not
is condemned already, because he
hath not believed in the name of the
only begotten Son of God.”
III : What Does All this Mean?
A: No More Condemnation
for Sin
-
John 3:36 says, “He
that believeth on the Son hath
everlasting life: and he that
believeth not the Son shall not see
life; but the wrath of God abideth
on him.”
-
John 5:24 says,
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He
that heareth my word, and believeth
on him that sent me, hath
everlasting life, and shall not come
into condemnation; but is passed
from death unto life.”
B:
No More Separation from God
-
John 6:47says,
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He
that believeth on me hath
everlasting life.”
C:
No More Emptiness without God
-
Romans 8:16, “The
Spirit itself beareth witness with
our spirit, that we are the children
of God:”
-
17 “And if children,
then heirs; heirs of God, and
joint-heirs with Christ; if so be
that we suffer with him, that we may
be also glorified together.”
D:
No More Doubt about God’s Love for
Us
- Romans 8:35says, “Who shall
separate us from the love of Christ?
shall tribulation, or distress, or
persecution, or famine, or
nakedness, or peril, or sword?”
36 “As it is written, For thy sake
we are killed all the day long; we
are accounted as sheep for the
slaughter.”
37 “Nay, in all these things we are
more than conquerors through him
that loved us.”
38 “For I am persuaded, that
neither death, nor life, nor angels,
nor principalities, nor powers, nor
things present, nor things to come,”
39 “Nor height, nor depth, nor any
other creature, shall be able to
separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
IV : How Does All This Happen?
A: God gives us a “new
nature”
-
2 Corinthians 5:17
says, “Therefore if any man be in
Christ, he is a new creature: old
things are passed away; behold, all
things are become new.”
B:
God gives us a “new promise”
-
Ephesians 1:13 says,
“In whom ye also trusted, after that
ye heard the word of truth, the
gospel of your salvation: in whom
also after that ye believed, ye were
sealed with that holy Spirit of
promise,”
14 “Which is the earnest of our
inheritance until the redemption of
the purchased possession, unto the
praise of his glory.”
C:
God gives us a “new inheritance”
-
Philippians 4:3 says,
“And I intreat thee also, true
yokefellow, help those women which
laboured with me in the gospel, with
Clement also, and with other my
fellowlabourers, whose names are in
the book of life.”
D:
God gives us a “new assurance”
- 1 John 5:13says, “These things
have I written unto you that believe
on the name of the Son of God;
that ye may know that ye have
eternal life, and that ye
may believe on the name of the Son
of God.”
14 “And this is the
confidence that we have in him,
that, if we ask any thing according
to his will, he heareth us:”
Knowing
Jesus Christ as our Saviour makes
all the difference in the world! A
wise man once said,
“ If we
walk with Jesus, we will not run
with the world!”
Oh,
that today, we will each determine
that we will be THANKFUL for the
gift of Salvation and that we will
determine to let Salvation make a
difference in our lives that people
around us can see and know that it
is real! |
