Rev. E. Ray Shutt serves in this ministry as our Minister of Evangelism and Bus Director. He and his family have been members of the Berean Baptist Church since October 1987. He not only is our Bus Director, but he and his family also run their own Bus Route each week. Over the years the Lord has blessed their work in the Bus Ministry, enabling them to split their bus route several times so as to establish new Bus routes in other areas. Brother Ray is a product of the Bus Ministry, being saved at the age of 15 after hearing the Gospel at another local Church. He rode the bus for several years as a young boy, before realizing his own personal need to be saved.

The Lord enabled him to lead his first person to Christ only four months after he had personally accepted Christ as his own Saviour. God began to deal with his heart shortly after being saved about preaching the Word of God and finally, at the age of 19, and while under great conviction, he answered God's calling to preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ claiming Ephesians 3:8 which says, "Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ."

The Lord has also blessed Brother Ray since that day with a precious family. He continues to visit many folks at several Rest Homes where he has faithfully preached for many years! Had it not been for some faithful Bus Captains and some faithful Sunday School Teachers, who were used of God in a special way in Brother Ray's early pre-teen and teenage years, none of this would be possible today!

Brother Ray has also had a Radio Broadcast on our Church Radio Station WPIP 880 AM each Sunday afternoon at 4:40 p.m. since WPIP began in 1995 for new Christians called "Growing In Christ".
