My Name is Foy H. Jarrett, Jr. I am the Bus Captain on the
High Point/Thomasville area Bus Route at the Berean Baptist Church.
I'd like to give you my Testimony for Christ and then let you see some
pictures of my Bus Route...I
was born July 8, 1995 in Lexington, North Carolina. I am the eldest of
six children of which there were three boys and three girls. I was born
again on May 25, 1975 in High Point, North Carolina. Early in 1979, my
wife, Linda, and I began attending Level Cross Baptist Church where
Jerry Mills was the Pastor. It was there that the Lord began to deal
with my my heart about serving Him in some sort of Ministry. I had a
strong desire to attend a Bible College, but did not have a clue as to
where to go to school. My pastor suggested that I visit First Baptist
church in Hammond, Indiana where he had often attended Pastor's School.
So in June of 1981, I visited the Church and the School for the weekend
and saw the moving of God in a great and exciting way and as I prayed, I
realized that was where God wanted me, so in three weeks, we sold our
house and moved to Indiana and attended Hyles-Anderson College until
1985.
In those nearly five years, I
saw God bless and move in ways I had never seen Him move before. It was
while I was there at College, that I got into the Bus Ministry, and now,
for the past 27 years, 20 of which have been here at Berean Baptist
Church, this is where God has used me. I have seen many come to Christ
during my years of service to the Lord in the Bus Ministry and I praise
Him for calling me into this ministry.
It is hard work and sometimes,
even discouraging, but the rewards are an eternal blessing and I am
reminded of II Corinthians 5:17 which says, "If any man be in Christ, he
is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are
become new."
