WHERE WILL YOU SPEND ETERNITY?

Eternity is more real than anything this life has to offer.  God is an eternal God   Who has been forever from eternity past, is forever eternity present, and will be forever eternity future with no end ever in sight.

God wants everyone to come to Heaven and live with Him when they die.  However, we are not good enough on our own to go to Heaven.  When sin came into the world in the Garden of Eden, mankind lost fellowship with God and required a sacrifice in order to cover his sins and be accepted in God’s sight.  Sins were covered when innocent lambs were sacrificed in order to cover their sins, however, God promised that His Only Begotten Son would leave Heaven and come into the world, live a perfect life, and then give His Own Life for a sacrifice for mankind.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came into the world, lived a perfect  life with absolutely no sin in His life, then suffered, bled, and died upon the cross of Calvary for all of our sins.  He descended into the depths of the earth and released those who were in Paradise in Abraham’s bosom, and then took the keys of Hell from Satan, and rose again on the third day.  He appeared to many on earth during those days after His Resurrection.  Finally, in the sight of a multitude of people, He ascended into Heaven to sit on the Right Hand of the Heavenly Father.

As Jesus sits on the Right Hand of the Father, He is willing to save those who will ask forgiveness of their sins through His Precious Blood and then ask Him to become their Saviour and come into their hearts.  At that point, all of our previous sins are forgiven and we have a clean slate in the sight of God.  The Blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin.  When He saves us, the Holy Spirit comes to live within our hearts.  The Holy Spirit guides us into all Truth as we study God’s Word, attend His Services in the Church and fellowship with other Christians.  As we study God’s Word and pray, the Holy Spirit helps us make the right decisions in life.  We can then live our lives to the Glory of God!

When death comes for the Christian, it is sweet.  The angels come and take us immediately into the Presence of Christ in the midst of Heaven where we will Praise Him forever!  We will be known in Heaven as we are known on the earth.  My dad went to Heaven last July.  When I get to Heaven, we will be able to fellowship and share memories throughout eternity.

When death comes to the unsaved person, the unsaved person will never again see light.  The Bible describes Hell and the Lake of Fire as outer darkness where lost people are tormented for eternity.  The only time the lost will be able to see anything after he dies is when he is raised up out of Hell to appear at the Great White Throne Judgment where he will be judged  according to his works.  He will then be bound hand and foot by the angels and cast into the eternal Lake of Fire for eternity.

It is not God’s wish that anyone go to Hell.  That is why He allowed Jesus to suffer what He did on the cross of Calvary to make an atonement for our sins.   He loves us more than life itself.  The person who goes to Hell will never see his friends or relatives again.  The person who goes to Heaven will have all of Eternity to fellowship with all of those who were saved through the Blood of Jesus Christ.

If you would like to be saved, pray this prayer:

Dear Jesus,

I know that I have sinned  and do not deserve to go to Heaven.  I know that Jesus came and bled and died for me so that I could go to Heaven.  You arose on the third day and conquered death for me.

Right now, I ask you to forgive me of my sins through your Precious Blood which you shed for me and to come into my heart and save me so that I can live with you for eternity.

Thank You, Jesus, for saving me.  Help me to always live for You and bring honor and glory to Your Name.
